7th grade TEXTBOOKS, YOUR CHILD’S IMPRESSIONABLE YOUNG MIND AND THE INSTRUCTION OF ISLAM


Would you approve of your child adopting a Muslim name, pretending to go on a holy trek to Mecca, memorizing and reciting Islamic prayers or verses from the Koran?

 This is exactly what took place in a public school in Bryon California.[1] Did you know a few years ago a Corona public school teacher provided the class with a word puzzle that, when completed, revealed the Islamic praise, ‘THERE IS NO GOD BUT ALLAH?” It was only through the concern of an attentive parent checking their child’s homework that this word search was removed and is no longer used today. Did you know that the ISCN (Islamic Society of Corona Norco) or more plainly know as the Corona Mosque earlier this year held a class for their members on how to teach Islam in public schools? Did you know that the Riverside County Superintendent gave his stamp of approval to allow special accommodations to Muslim students during Ramadan which included offering space in the library or faculty lounge? Does not allowing these concessions open a Pandora’s Box for more demands and privileges? Will they next want our district to ban Jell-O as they did in San Diego because it was not considered Halal (kosher) because it contained a pork by-product?[2] IF THIS MATTER TO YOU PASS IT ALONG TO OTHER YOU KNOW WHO NEED TO KNOW! There have been many stories in the news lately illuminating the biased, whitewashed, untruthful and inaccurate history about Islam being pandered in 7th grade textbooks. If you were an email recipient with ACT! for America you would have received this exciting news coming in from the state of Texas: ... the Texas State Board of Education passed a resolution calling on school textbook publishers to stop giving preferential treatment to Islam in their books. We find this announcement to be very encouraging as some of us have been working for over a year to get similar results from the CNUSD. As members of the ACT! Corona local chapter you may have seen previous emails explaining our efforts to provide accurate supplemental material to counter the present teaching in the textbook used in 7th grade CNUSD schools: World History Medieval to Early Modern Times, by Holt, Rinehart, Winston. This notice is to alert parents and the public that we need your help if we are going to win the battle teach the truth about Islam and Christianity in our school district classrooms. It is critical that the public stand up now before special interest groups get a foothold in our schools and receive special treatment. They must not be allowed to do this. Our students deserve to be taught the truth about Islam in world history, not propaganda sanctioned by uninformed or apathetic school officials. ACTION NEED  WE need parents, grandparents and guardians to have watchful eyes on the homework assignments their children bring home from their 7th grade social studies classes.  WE need you to educate your child on what to look for and to alert you if the teacher instructs or presents materials that are anti-American, anti-Christian, anti-Semitic, or glorifies Islam, incites violence or presents an Islamic agenda. One school in San Diego was providing a locked, shade drawn room for a group of Somali school children to pray with the America Flag wadded up in a heap.[3]  WE need parents, guardians or grandparents to instruct their children to bring home ALL homework from 7th grade social studies classes for evaluation. If you discover your child has received something suspicious alert us by contacting Bob Shelly on the Textbook Curriculum Committee of ACT! Corona at bobnjune@dslextreme.com. We will investigate and respond accordingly.  ALERT Bob immediately if you receive notice that someone is coming to your child’s school or classroom to speak on Islam. And should this happens we need parents to be there to record what is said and to take thorough notes of what is being presented.  As mentioned ACT! Corona is ready to provide FREE supplementary materials for teachers to use to bring truth and accuracy back into our public schools here in Corona. However in order to do this we need the involvement of the parents, guardians and grandparents.  WE need you to share this information with as many parents, guardians and grandparents as possible and we would like to have them contact Bob so we may create a list of all involved. We also need as many as possible to be willing to go before the new school board after November’s election.  WE need a group of citizens that will meet with us to pass our literature out to kids on public property when school lets out to inform their parents, guardians or grandparents of the problem and the need for them to join our cause. If you are willing to donate 15- 30 minutes of your time to help with this portion of the outreach again, Please contact Bob at bobnjune@dslextreme.com.  ASK your friends who have kids in the CNUSD to read the two attached reports: Islam in the Classroom and the supplemental material we want adopted into the CNUSD. The board members are only going to move on this serious issue if parents, guardians and grandparents make it an issue. 
