The Mission and Vision of ACT! Corona

ACT! Corona is a local chapter of Act! for America, a non-profit issues advocacy organization. Our local mission is to organize and mobilize a grassroots citizen action network in the Corona area committed to inform and coordinate civic action that will lead to public policies that protect America’s national security and the defense of American democratic values against the assault of radical Islam (i.e. Islamofascism) and all other challenges to American liberties.

As an issues advocacy organization, ACT! Corona will engage in a wide range of education and advocacy activities such as influencing legislation and public policy (often called “lobbying”), publishing information on the background and/or voting records of officials either elected or running for election, educating and informing others about potential threats to our liberties, and monitoring media coverage of such issues. This includes the promotion and implementation of educational programs that teach and enable citizen participation in the defense of America on the community, city, state, and national level.

Act! Corona does not engage in partisan political activities, such as advocating the defeat or election of a candidate, endorsing candidates, or making contributions to candidates.

Members of Act! Corona are encouraged, as individuals, to expend personal funds on a voluntary basis which is their right as citizens. Volunteers of a non-profit organization like ACT! for America often do support such activities and there is nothing that prevents members of Act! Corona, as individuals, from engaging in partisan political activity. ACT! for America and ACT! Corona both encourage such responsible citizen action.
